JOB DESCRIPTION LINK

Special School District’s (SSD) occupational therapists (OTs) are committed to identifying and mitigating specific barriers for students. As an SSD OT, you will assess students’ physical limitations, developmental delays, and related abilities to develop and provide intervention programs that ensure students have the support they need to excel to their greatest potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to champion inclusion by ensuring all students have an established foundation of strategies that support the goals of their individualized education plan and fortify their access to general and special education.

OTs work primarily during school hours, but occasional evening hours may be required. They are generously compensated, and receive benefits, including insurance, paid time off and holidays, access to staff health clinics, and more. OTs can serve single or multiple schools, depending upon their assignment.

Special School District serves nearly 25,000 students and employs over 5,700 staff in St. Louis County. With core values of equity, commitment, and collaboration, the District's mission is to support and empower students of all learning abilities to excel to their greatest potential. SSD staff thrive in a culture deeply committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
